On the occasion of 75th Azadi ka amrit Mahotsav, the Kendriya Sahitya Academy organised ” Gramalok” programme at Padmapur. The programme was conducted in the presence of Susanta Kumar Nayak, who is a Barenya poet and Editor as well as Member of Kendriya Sahitya Academy of Odisha branch. Professor Dr. Dushmant Kumar Mohanty, a renowned literary figure of Odisha Literature Academy attended as Chief-Guest. Other distinguished guests were Subash Chandra Sahu, Senior Lecturer in Political Science of R. G. College, Padmapur and Sunita Panda, Assistant Teacher. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Priyabrata Das, Radhamohan Panigrahi, Neelamadhab Panigrahi, Sunita Sahu, Rupesh Sahu and Akshya Kumar Panda were selected by the Kendriya Sahitya Academy to recite their own contributed poems and stories which was written in Odia. During the midst of the programme, on behalf of Kabi Damodar Mahapatra Smruti Sansad published a literary magazine in Odia language named ‘ Padmaja’ which was unveiled among the litterateurs. Three litterateurs namely – Susanta Kumar Nayak, Subash Chandra Sahu and Prof. Dr. Dushmant Kumar Mohanty were felicitated in the memory of Kabi Damodar Mahapatra. At the end of the programme, Rupesh Sahu gave a vote of thanks for making the programme success.
